RAFT Assignment -- Please submit to both Chalk and Wire and Blackboard

RAFT is a writing strategy that helps students understand their roles as writers, the audience they will address, the varied formats for writing, and the topic they'll be writing about. During the SED 407 Standards assignments, you wrote from an alternative point of view during a RAFT assignment. Now you will design a RAFT assignment for your future students.

Here's the rubric. 

Here are the elements that you will need to include in your RAFT assignment design.

 Assignment Sheet (RIPTS 5): Create an overview of the assignment that you'd implement in the classroom.

RAFT Table (RIPTS Standard 4: Diversity of learners): Create a table that includes a large variety of approaches to accomplishing the tasks outlined in the Assignment Sheet. [Type into a Google search, "how to design a RAFT assignment table" to get all kinds of ideas.

Rubric/Assessment (RIPTS Standard 9): Create a rubric that evaluates how well the students "get it."

Model - (RIPTS Standard 2: Content Knowledge): Include background knowledge references that demonstrate your knowledge of your subject area and the particular content within this assignment.
